Worlds Smartest Animals

Crows Get Crafty

They fashion tools from twigs, and other bits of debris to snag things from hard to reach places.
Theyre born with a tool making ethic, but they hone their craft by watching their elders. Ravens, a type of crow, have been proven to manipulate there surroundings to gain more attention and gather more food.

Among the biggest brains in the sea

Are octopi, squids, and cuddlefish smart?
Thats a matter of scientifique intrique. the cephalops are among the brainiest in the sea.
They share some distinct features with the human brain, such as folded lobes, distinct regions for precessing, visual, and tactile information.

Elephants demonstrate self awareness

The sheer size of an elephant must demonstrate that they must know something about the ways of the world. they have been seen consoling family memebers, helping other creatures in time of need, and playing in water with other animals, via vibrations sent out in their feet.
The complex behaviour of elephants is only shared with humans, dolphins, and monkeys.

Dolphins get creative

This australian dolphin uses a sponge to protect its nose from the harsh ocean floor.
A tool behaviour that is passed on from mother to daughter.
Scientists say thats just one sign of dolphin smarts. Among their clicks and extremely friendly personalities. Scientists believe dolphins have their own personal vocabulary.

Chimps are "almost" like us

If humans posess intelligence, apes must too.
Our genomes are almost 98% identical with chimps.
Chimps make tools, communicate, and engage in acts of violence.
Feild trials have shown chimps are capable of love, sympathy, altruism, and self preservation.
Chimps have performed better then humans on a number of memory tests.
